Senate Conferees Named (Updated with House Members)
The Senate has name the following members to the House-Senate conference committee that will negotiate with the House the final version of the stimulus bill. They are:
Harry Reid (D-NV), Dan Inouye (D-HI), Max Baucus (D-MT), Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Thad Cochran (R-MS)

Pork, pork and more pork! My favorite food is country ham. Perhaps somebody could tell me just how many of these things I should hoard. After all, with as much pork as is in this “stimulus” bill, there won’t be a hog available in America for years to come. And now astronomers are shamelessly trying to shove their way onto the oinker express! I think the country as a whole would be served better by continuing with the deliberate bipartisan program for supporting science than by this shameless grab for the loot.
